I'm reporting some flags that have been seen in the wild following the
Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) case decision two weeks ago striking
down the Constitutional protection for abortions.
Following the SCOTUS
decision on 24 June, there was a pro-choice rally in downtown Fredericksburg,
Virginia, the weekend of 25-26 June. While we were our running errands that
weekend, we saw a group of people that appeared to be headed downtown to the
rally. They were carrying a pro-choice flag that was a spin on the
Gadsden flag. The yellow field of the flag had the
traditional rattlesnake centered on it, but with the snake twisted into the
general shape of a uterus, while the words "DON'T TREAD ON ME" remained in black
capital letters below.

Meanwhile, a news article from The Salt Lake Tribune newspaper included a
photograph of anti-abortion protestors marching at the Utah State Capitol
building (https://www.sltrib.com/news/2022/06/24/utahns-cheer-jeer-end-roe/). In
this photo can be seen several flags, not all of which are directly related to
the anti-abortion movement, but are either political or religious in their
motif. Prominent in the photo, however, is a yellow flag with the word "LIFE" in
thin, black, sans serif, capital letters in the center. The flag appears to be
most prominently associated with the group Pro-Life Utah, and there are several
photographs of it on their Facebook page.
Also seen in the photo of the protestors at the Utah State Capitol are multiple
Trump campaign or Trump support flags, what looks like the flag of the Knights
of Columbus (a service organization linked to the Catholic Church), and both
white and red-blue flags bearing the slogan "Life: It's about babies, Not
politics."

Meanwhile, in a separate event from back in January, Acting Governor Mike
Foley of Nebraska released an official proclamation on 28 January 2022 naming
the winning entry in the Pro-Life Flag Project as the official pro-life flag of
the State of Nebraska
(https://www.3newsnow.com/news/local-news/nebraska-formally-recognizes-pro-life-flag-via-proclamation-friday).
The Pro-Life Flag Project was a project launched in May 2021 with the aim of
creating a single flag to unify and symbolize the pro-life/anti-abortion
movement across the US and internationally, with the winning entry chosen in
July 2021. The online article describes the flag thus:
"The design features
two thick lateral stripes of hot pink and indigo blue with a circle over the top
of them. Inside the circle, a minimalist set of hot pink-colored hands hovers
around a set of bare footprints, one blue and one pink, with the inner curves of
each foot forming a white heart shape. The feet are a callback to the 'Precious
Feet' which were declared the international pro-life symbol in 1979."
